EMPOWERING YOUTH
HEALING COMMUNITIES
Learn about Remember The 400's mission to unite communities through Black history education, youth empowerment, and authentic partnerships for racial healing.
OUR MISSION
Remember The 400 is on a mission to unite people of all backgrounds through education, culture, and youth empowerment. We are a global movement connecting the past to the present by teaching that Black history is world history. We achieve this by providing comprehensive educational resources, cultivating authentic community partnerships, and developing youth leadership initiatives that drive real, measurable social change.
Our goal is not to dwell on the past, but to transform historical remembrance into action. We actively work to heal the racial divide and advocate for August to be formally recognized as Freedom Month, honoring the profound resilience and contributions of our ancestors. This is not just remembrance—it is education, inspiration, and action, fueled by a generation that refuses to forget and is ready to lead.
OUR VISION
We envision a world that understands Black history as the essential foundation of world history. We are working toward a future where historical truth sparks genuine unity, and where global youth leadership drives educational equity and community healing.
We see a society that celebrates the resilience and brilliance of the diaspora—not merely as a story of survival, but as an ongoing story of strength, creativity, and profound global impact. Ultimately, our vision is a world where the next generation rises with unshakeable knowledge, cultural pride, and purpose, honoring the legacy of their ancestors by boldly leading us forward.
OUR CORE VALUES
The foundational principles driving our mission for education, unity, and measurable social impact.
Authenticity
We believe in real people, real stories, and real impact. We do not sugarcoat the past—we learn from it. We build authentic community partnerships rooted in truth and cultural pride. By prioritizing authentic storytelling and historical accuracy, we ensure that the legacy of the diaspora is honoured with honesty, bravery, and deep respect
Education
We operate on the foundational truth that Black history is world history. We prioritize educational empowerment by providing comprehensive Black history educational materials to schools, community centers, and cultural organizations. Our curriculum resources are designed to support multicultural education and transform historical memory into modern community learning.
Empowerment
We believe the next 400 years belong to the youth. We are dedicated to equipping the next generation with the confidence, knowledge, and purpose necessary to lead. Through youth-driven initiatives, active mentorship networks, and structured leadership development programs, we empower young voices to transform historical remembrance into modern action.
Unity
We are committed to healing the racial divide by using truth-telling as the bridge to unity. Instead of dwelling on the past, we foster open dialogue that bridges communities and unites people of all backgrounds. We promote genuine reconciliation, ensuring that shared history becomes a catalyst for global collaboration and mutual understanding.
Transparency
As a trusted community partner, we operate with complete clarity, offering clear impact reporting and financial accountability. We believe in creating measurable social impact, providing our sponsors, educators, and community members with detailed metrics on our educational reach, community engagement, and youth development results.
